Gen Mishima - 2008

SYNOPSIS

Far from first-world legislation, Japanese geneticist Seto Mishima founds the Porvenir Institute for gifted children in the 1980s. Twenty-five years later, Ignacio Maiakovsky, a journalist investigating possible human experimentation at the Institute, falls in love with Elena, a former "Porvenir Girl," who later disappears without a trace. In his search for Elena, Maiakosky becomes involved in a secret war between anarchist groups, pharmaceutical companies and the "36 Hidden Saints," 36 men and women genetically engineered at Porvenir for the next step in human evolution.
